Why Triyuginarayan Temple is famous ?
Triyugi Narayan is a village that is known for the wedding of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. This special ceremony happened in the presence of Lord Vishnu. It is believed that Lord Vishnu was the one who organized the entire wedding and acted as Parvati’s brother, while Brahma acted as the priest.
The Brahma Sila, located in front of the temple, marks the exact area where the wedding took place. Four sacred ponds, known as Rudra Kund (for bathing), Vishnu Kund (for cleansing), Brahma Kund (for sipping water) and Saraswati Kund (for offering libations). It is also believed that these ponds possess healing powers.
The temple is home to a never-ending flame, known as the akhand dhuni, which has burned since the time of Lord Shiva’s marriage. Many believers bring wood to the sacred fire as an offering, then take away the ash as a sign of marital harmony.

Location – Rudraprayag district Uttarakhand , just 12 km off road from sonprayag (main kedarnath road)
Nearest railway station to reach sonprayag is at dehradun(251km) or rishikesh railway station (209 km). Nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun (222 km)
